3 Day {Juice Cleanse}

The Carolina Ballet dancers are in the middle of a 3-week layoff. Although it is always nice to have a layoff after a hard program {Balanchine’s ‘Rubies’}, three weeks is an eternity for dancers. We can’t afford to get out-of-shape because when we return we have 1 week before we are performing {Messiah}!

I have completed my 3-day local juicing cleanse. By doing using local juice bars, I have met so many interesting and inspiring people here in Raleigh.

Check out the {6 Benefits to Juicing}

I want everyone to know how incredible the three of these local Raleigh companies are: Cold Off The Press, Raleigh Raw, and Happy + Hale. All three of the juice bar owners are so personal. I am happy to know that Raleigh is morphing into a healthy city, despite its Southern roots of deep fried everything and tons of butter!

Below is a brief review on the 3 local juice bars and a few personal comments:

HOW WE JUICED

My roommate Karen (who did the cleanse with me) and I had 3 juices per day, with a serving of Almond or Cashew Milk at the end of the day. You are allowed as much water and herbal tea as you want. We didn’t get hungry from only 3 juices, but we just missed the sensation of chewing.

If you do some research, typical juice cleanses (ex: Blue Print Cleanse) suggests 6 juices per day. I think that is way too much, especially since I was also exercising during each day of my cleanse. Needless to say, each body reacts differently.

The cleanse is not about starving yourself, but about resetting your metabolic system and feeling incredible!

PARTNER UP

I highly suggest doing the juice cleanse (for how every many days you wish to do it) with a friend. This way you are able to try all six of these company’s juices by halving them, plus you have the motivation of someone else to do it too.

During our cleanse, Karen and I came home after our days and discussed our favorite juices of the day, how we felt, what we thought, etc. It definitely helped that we cleaned out our fridge before the cleanse.

If you need more tips on how to cleanse, the Urban Remedy blog truly spells everything out pre, during, and post a juicing cleanse.

Happy Juicing!

Please let me know if you have any questions. I am happy to help you on your juicing journey.
