{Messiah} By Robert Weiss

During Thanksgiving weekend of 2013, Carolina Ballet presented Robert Weiss’ “Messiah.”

I revisited this ballet from my first season with Carolina Ballet, in 2009. Despite the fact that I performed a different role this time around, I examined the ballet in a more mature manner. “Messiah” was the second program I had ever performed with a professional company and you can imagine the nerve and stress I must have been feeling. Although it was still frantic getting the program learned and completed in time for opening night, I felt much more comfortable in my shoes… Pointe shoes, that is.
