Tulips, Sunshine & Friends.

A few of the dancers stepped out of the rehearsal studio and jumped into the tulip fields yesterday afternoon. A weekend getaway before the opening of George Balanchine’s {Coppelia}.

The {Skagit Tulip Festival} is a crown jewel of Washington. Lasting the month of April, locals are invited to frolic in a lush array of tulips and enjoy everything beautiful. I have never seen such glorious colors.

Somehow from coffee in Seattle to tulips in Mount Vernon, our two cars got separated and we managed to find different fields. Yes, there is more than one of these gorgeous tulip fields in one place!

Here is a glimpse of our sunshine.
